World Surf League Gold Coast Open 7 – 12 May 2019

After a hugely successful event in 2018 and many years before it, the Burleigh Pro will return in 2019 better than ever – renamed as the Gold Coast Open presented by Flight Centre. The event is a World Surf League (WSL) QS 1,500 rated Men’s and Women’s event, attracting a number of the best surfers from Australia and throughout the globe to the iconic Burleigh Point.

The six day Flight Centre Burleigh Pro will see some of the world’s best surfers from all corners of the globe battle it out against the local talent for valuable Qualifying Series points. This will be the third QS 1,500 event on the 2019 World Surf League Australasian calendar.

This year will again host an open Men’s and Women’s division, as well as the introduction of the Pro Junior Men’s and Women’s event. As an added value, attendees can look forward to other attractions including live bands, skateboarding event and Mother’s Day sunrise yoga sessions.
